Westfield launches a delivery service

Westfield has launched a new service that will allow consumers to shop for items directly from their homes. The new service, which ships to Australia Post, is expected to be launched in the next few weeks.
The Westfield Centre in Australia will allow customers to shop for goods from its multiple stores in one transaction, removing the need to go to one particular store to buy.
Westfield Direct will be available to pick-up from a range of Westfield stores across Australia within one to five working days.
The launch of the new service comes as retailers look to improve their digital capabilities in response to the explosion of online shopping.
In September, it was announced that Australia’s biggest grocery chain, Woolworths, would be taking its online marketplace, MySuperMarket, to a wider audience.
E-commerce sales at the supermarket rose 58 per cent to $5.6 billion this year.
The report also showed that 82 per cent of households shop online regularly.
Westfield’s new service features over 100 retailers, including fashion labels such as General Pants, Sportscraft, and Aesop. Stores like Adairs will also be offerred the service and you can use an Adairs discount code to save on your purchase.
This app will allow users to browse through curated products and place orders for those that span multiple retailers.
Westfield Direct is a service that enables retailers to increase their productivity while reducing the time and cost associated with delivering orders.
Additionally, it would help smaller retailers compete with larger e-commerce players.
